Wheaton soccer teams to host CCIW Tournament semifinals on Wednesday evening

Wheaton, Ill. -- Both the Wheaton women's and men's soccer teams finished second in the CCIW standings this season and clinched first-round byes in the 2023 conference tournaments that began today. The Thunder men's and women's squads will each host a semifinal match in the CCIW Tournament at Joe Bean Stadium on Wednesday, November 1st. The two games will be played back-to-back, with the Wheaton women taking on the third-seeded Carroll Pioneers at 4:30 PM, before the Wheaton men face the sixth-seeded Illinois Wesleyan Titans at 7 PM.

The cost of admission to all CCIW Tournament matches is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors 65 years old and above, grade school students, and children above the age of five. Kids ages five and under are allowed in free of charge, as are current students of CCIW institutions upon presentation of a current student ID. No season passes will be accepted at tournament matches.

Both matches will be live streamed on the Wheaton Thunder Sports Network and live statistics will be provided for the two games.

The winners of Wednesday's semifinal matches will advance to the CCIW Championship games next Saturday at times and locations to be determined.
