Ethan Harsted has been named the CCIW Wrestling Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance at last weekend's Al Hanke Invitational, hosted by Elmhurst University. Harsted is now a two-time recepient of the award, also earning the recognition on January 18, 2022.
Harsted posted a perfect 5-0 record last Saturday at the Al Hanke Invitational, winning the 141-pound weight class. He outscored his opposition 50-10 for the day, including a 6-0 win over Juan Garcia of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the quarterfinals and a 4-0 decision over Chicago's Vincent Menozzi in the semifinal. Harsted capped the day with a 2-1 decision over UW-LaCrosse's Sam Lorenz in the championship match.
Harsted and the Thunder wrestling team return to action this Saturday at the CCIW Catchall duals, hosted by Concordia (Wis.) beginning at noon.
