Warrenville, Ill. - Seventh-ranked WashU sored 33 points in the men's team standings to finish first. No. 21 University of Chicago scored 44 points in second place, Hope placed third with 94 points, No. 13 North Central finished fourth with 133 points and St. Francis (Ill.) rounded out the top-five with 160 points. Millikin scored 161 points in sixth place, Wheaton finished seventh with 203 points, Ripon scored 218 points in eighth place, Augustana finished ninth with 271 points and Moraine Valley Community College rounded out the top-10 with 284 points.

Cullen Capuano of WashU finished first on the 8K course with a time of 25:10.5. Hope's Connor Vachon placed second in 25:14.4. WashU runner Jeff Candell posted a time of 25:22.5 to finish third.

Sophomore Sam Elsen impressed with the top performance by a Wheaton runner. Elsen finished 14^th in the 243-man field with a time of 26:00.1 Senior Ryan Cross finished 49^th in 27:01.0, while junior Nathan Gibson finished 67^th in 27:21.4 Thunder freshman Ian Sneller placed 72^nd in 27:26.9. Sophomore Gabe Praamsma ran the course in 27:44.5 in 87^th place. Senior John McCloskey placed 97^th in 28:10.2, while junior Jacob Fopma finished in 28:14.6 in 100^th place.

Wheaton returns to action on October 1 at the Aurora University Invitational, starting at 11:00 a.m. in Geneva, Illinois.
