Wheaton, Ill.  - Two members of the Wheaton women's cross country program were announced as individual participants next Saturday at the 2021 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Lansing, Michigan. Seniors Alyssa Mantia and Susannah Bennett will represent Wheaton next weekend.

Both Mantia and Bennett each earned a spot at the Championships with performances yesterday at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional in Geneva, Illinois. Mantia finished 22nd Saturday at the Regional with a time of 22:48.7 on the 6K course. Bennett finished 24th in 22:51.7. Mantia and Bennett each earned All-Midwest Region honors yesterday by finishing in the top-35 at the Regional.

Their appearance next Saturday will mark Wheaton's first representation at the Division III Women's Cross Country Championships since Aryn Embretson Erika Johnson ran at the 2019 Division III Championships in Louiville, Kentucky.
