Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton women's soccer team defeated Adrian College (3-4-0) on Saturday in a non-conference matchup at Joe Bean Stadium. Wheaton is now 2-3-1 on the season. The Thunder will host Calvin College on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
The Thunder gained an early 1-0 lead when the Thunder were awarded penalty kick just 6:02 into the match. Senior
Sara Bakke converted the penalty kick to give the hosts the one-goal advantage. Mckenna Mahoney of the Bulldogs tied the match with her third goal of the season at the 27:35 mark. The match was tied 1-1 at halftime as the Thunder out-shot the Bulldogs 16-5 at halftime.

Mia Blair scored her first collegiate goal at 48:24. Blair's unassisted goal gave the Thunder a 2-1 lead as the hosts held on for the win. Wheaton out-shot the guests 17-7 in the second half.

Lauren Ketchum made seven saves in net for the hosts with one goal allowed. Adrian netminder Taylor Fischer made 13 saves with two goals allowed. The Thunder out-shot the Bulldogs 33-13
