Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton men's tennis team hosted Judson for a match on Saturday afternoon. The matchup with the Eagles is the lone contest on a fall schedule for the Thunder men's program. Judson edged the Thunder by a score of 5-4.
The Thunder led Judson 2-1 at the conclusion of doubles play. The Wheaton No. 2 doubles team of Jacob Williams and Joey Giesz earned an 8-6 win against the Judson duo of Chadd Kerrigan and William Barnes. Wheaton earned an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles as Tim Steiner and
Jack Wenzel teamed up to defeat the Judson tandem of Moosa Choudhary and Alexandre Veltkamp.
Wenzel rallied to earn a 5-7, 6-2, 14-12 victory against William Choubey at No. 4 singles. Steiner was a 2-6, 6-4, 10-5 winner against Maximillian Fortun in their match at No. 6 singles.
