Favor Ezewuzie is named the CCIW Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton senior Favor Ezewuzie has been named the CCIW Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Today's selection marks the fourth time in her career she has won the award in the outdoor track & field season. Additionally, she has won the award seven times in the indoor season.

Ezewuzie placed in the top three in four events at the Benedictine Invitational last Friday. She placed third in the 100-meter dash (12.05), third in the 200-meter dash (24.16), second in the 100-meter hurdles (14.47), and anchored the third-place 4x100-meter relay (49.67). Her time in the 200 is currently ranked first in the CCIW and in NCAA Division III. Additionally, Ezewuzie currently has the top times in the 100 dash and 100 hurdles, which she accomplished at the Texas Relays on March 25. 

Ezewuzie is a nine-time Division III All-American, a 15-time CCIW champion and a three-time Midwest Region Division III Track Athlete of the Year, given by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). She is also the first female student-athlete to be named the CCIW Indoor Track Athlete of the Meet three times and she holds or is a part of nine Wheaton College women's track & field records.
