Elmhurst, Ill. - The Wheaton wrestling team concluded its season on Friday night with a dual meet against CCIW rival Elmhurst. The Bluejays topped the Thunder 27-17 in the matchup. Wheaton won four matches tonight with victories at 125-pounds, 165-pounds, 174-pounds and 197-pounds.

Giovany Armira started the match off with a Thunder victory at 125-pounds. Armira earned a 5-4 decision against Elmhurst's Dominic Iannatone thanks to a near fall late in their match. Elmhurst picked up wins at 133-pounds, 141-pounds, 149-pounds and 157-pounds.

Caele Manley (PICTURED LEFT) was a winner for the Thunder at 165-pounds. He recorded a reversal in his match against Elmhurst's Joe Caringella to earn a 9-7 decision. Hunter Harrison registered an 18-1 technical fall in 4:21 of his match at 174-pounds against Elmhurst's Norbert Crecan. 

Ben Lokos pinned Elmhurst's Scott Anderson just 1:43 into their match at 197-pounds. Lokos' victory trimmed the Bluejays' lead in the meet to 21-17 setting up a an opportunity for Wheaton to win the dual meet in the match at 285-pounds. Elmhurst's Roberto Pena secured the dual meet win for the hosts with a pin in the match.
