The Thunder track and field teams returned to North Central College on Friday for their second dual meet against the Cardinals this season. Wheaton travels to Bloomington, Illinois next Saturday for a tri-meet against Illinois Wesleyan and Augustana.
In the men's meet on Friday, junior
Ben Jackson won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.58-seconds. Nico Bradley was first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.28-seconds. Senior
Jonah Jones (PICTURED ABOVE) won the 1-mile run, clocking in at 4:32:23. The Thunder 4x400-meter relay team of
Max Veth,
Chris Albert,
Thomas Everest and
Elliot Kim also took first place, posting a time of 3:29:49.
The Thunder men also exceled in the field events.
Jeremy Earnst won the long jump with a leap of 6.59-meters. Senior
David Bradley won his third meet of the season in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.90-meters.
Trevor Gabriele won the shot put with a throw of 14.01-meters.

The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Tess Sutton (PICTURED RIGHT), Audrey Coyle, Emma Fisler and Abi Gum took first place with a time of 4:16:45. Sophomore Amy Keane notched another strong performance, with two second place finishes. She recorded a time of 9.38-seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, and a height of 1.47-meters in the high jump.
