Kenosha, Wis. – The Thunder track and field teams traveled to Kenosha for a dual meet against Carroll on Saturday. In the first meet in which team scores were tabulated, the men's team defeated Carroll 139 points to 127. The women's team scored 126 points to Carroll's 143.
A trio of Wheaton

juniors performed well in the short and middle-distance races of the men's meet.
Ben Jackson (PICTURED LEFT) won the 55-meter dash with a time of 8.19,
Chris Albert took first place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.88, and
Elliot Kim placed first in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 2:02:21.

Eli Odell,
Max Veth and
Andrew Lauber also finished first, posting a 3:23:19. Senior
David Bradley (PICTURED ABOVE) took first place in the pole vault for the second consecutive meet, clearing a height of 4.53-meters.
Wheaton also took first place in the 4x400-meter relay in the women's meet, behind a time 4:16:45 from Tess Sutton, Emma Fisler, Brianna Hawthorne and Abi Gum. Sophomore Amy Keane won the women's long jump, spanning 5.08-meters.

Sophomore Audrey Coyle won the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04:54. Junior Diana Gagnon took first place in the women's 800-meter run, pacing at 2:27:53. Senior Kaitlin Armstrong's time of 5:24:24 was good for first place in the women's 1-mile run. Sophomore Alyssa Mantia (PICTURED RIGHT) earned a first-place finish for the second meet in a row, this time in the 5,000-meter run, with a time of 18:27:43.
Multi-event athletes will be back in action for the Thunder at a multi-only meet next Saturday at North Central. On Saturday, February 27, the full team will return to action with a dual meet against North Central College in Naperville.
