Thunder track teams open the indoor season at the ONU Holiday Invitational

Bourbonnais, Ill. - The Wheaton track and field teams opened the 2021-22 indoor track and field season on Saturday at Olivet Nazarene's "ONU Holiday Invitational". No team scores were kept at Saturday's event.

The top performance for the Thunder women's program came in the 60-meter hurdles. Amy Keane finished first in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.69-seconds that improved on her prelims time of 9.88-seconds. Keane also competed in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.58-seconds to place sixth.

Audrey Coyle finished sixth in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 1:10.92. Holly Brown placed eighth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:45.31

Wheaton finished second and third in the men's 60-meter hurdles. Isaiah Clausen was second in the finals with a time of 8.63-seconds, followed by Jediah Giller in third place with an effort of 8.85-seconds. Dolan Blair finished sixth in the finals with a time of 9.92-seconds. Clausen's time of 8.51-seconds in the prelims is the 12th-fastest effort in Division III this season. 

Elliot Kim was second in the men's 800-meter run with a time of 1:59.98. Kim's effort is 13th in Division III this year. Josiah Rood placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.52-seconds, and Clausen finished seventh in 23.55-seconds. Rood was sixth in the finals of the 60-meter dash in 7.19-seconds and Jack Peak was eighth in 7.21-seconds.
