Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton College football team (9-1) will host a First Round Game of the 2021 NCAA Division III Playoffs on Saturday November 20. The Thunder will entertain Aurora University (8-2) at McCully Stadium in Wheaton on Saturday in a noon kickoff. The winner of next Saturday's Wheaton-Aurora game will advance to face the winner of another first round game between Central (Iowa) and Bethel (Minn.) on November 27.

The Thunder earned an at-large bid to the to the 2021 NCAA Division III Playoffs. Wheaton is making its 12^th overall appearance in the Division III Playoffs. Wheaton's 12 NCAA Playoff selections is tied for the second-most in CCIW history. The Thunder has compiled a 16-11 all-time record in the postseason, including a perfect 11-0 record in the first round.

Saturday's matchup will be the 16th  meeting on the gridiron between Wheaton and Aurora, but the first-ever postseason meeting. The Spartans earned the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs by winning the NACC Championship for the second-consecutive season. The Spartans posted an 8-2 overall record in the 2021 regular season, with an 8-0 mark in NACC conference play.

Admission for Saturday's game is $8 for adults, $4 for students; and children under three are admitted for free. As a NCAA Championship event no free passes will be accepted. Tickets will be available at the gate on Saturday (Cash Only).
