Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder wrestling team hosted the Wheaton Duals on Friday afternoon as Carthage, Millikin and MSOE joined Wheaton in the four-team event.

Wheaton opened its day with a convincing 47-3 victory against Carthage. Giovany Amira, Sean Ferguson, Ethan Harsted, Ben Black, Charles Owens, Stephen Watson, Hunter Harrison, Natan Jara and Jackson Punzel each earned wins for the Thunder. 

Wheaton's second match was a tightly contested dual with MSOE. The guests edged Wheaton 22-21 as Amira, Harsted, Caele Manley and Punzel each earned victories for the Thunder.

Millikin topped the Thunder 41-4 in the final dual of the day. Harrison won a 16-8 major decision against Millikin's Gus Wheeler in their match at 174-pounds.

Wheaton returns to action next Friday with four matches at Carthage College. The event in Kenosha also features North Central, Augustana, MSOE and Carthage.
