Wheaton's men's basketball travels to Elmhurst on Tuesday in the CCIW Men's Basketball Tournament First Round

Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton men's basketball team will participate in the CCIW Men's Basketball Tournament this week. The No. 5 seed Thunder travel to No. 4 seed Elmhurst on Tuesday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m. in one of two first round games of the tournament. Tuesday's other semifinal will be in Bloomington as No. 3 seed Illinois Wesleyan hosts No. 6 seed Carthage at 7:00 p.m. 

The tournament's semifinal and championship games will be held this weekend in Naperville. The highest advancing seed out of Tuesday's semifinal games will face No. 2 seed Augustana College at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28 at North Central's Gregory Arena in the opening semifinal matchup. The lowest remaining seed will play No. 1 seed North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday on the Cardinals' home court. Friday's semifinal winners will play in the CCIW Men's Basketball Tournament Championship game on Saturday, February 29 at 7:00 p.m. 

The CCIW Tournament does not accept No CCIW passes for the conference tournament. Students with valid CCIW school ID will be admitted free of charge. Ticket prices for all sites are $8.00 for adults, $5.00 each for seniors, and students, children under three-years-old will be admitted for free.

The winner of the 2020 CCIW Men's Basketball Tournament will earn the conference's automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship.
