Wheaton, Ill.- Wheaton's Thunder concluded their two week winter training program by swimming against Lake Forest. Due to weather conditions, the Thunder canceled their trip to Holland, Michigan against Hope College and Kalamazoo and instead hosted Lake Forest College. The women's team out swam Lake Forest 620-445, swimmers placing top two nine out of eleven events.
Maggie Franke placed first in her two individual events, swimming a 55.41 in the 100 freestyle and 2:01.11 in the 200 freestyle.Â
Ashley Bowen and
Emily Hahn finished 1-2 in the 1000 freestyle, Bowen touching first with a 11:35.05, Hahn second with a 11:47.48.
Abby Pardridge and and Katy Coley touched 1-2 in the 200 backstroke, Pardridge placing first with a 2:15.80 and Coley second with a 2:21.66.
The 200 breaststroke consisted of
Priscilla Min placing first with a 2:29.24 and
Kiki Rogers finishing second with a 2:38.62.
Abigail Rutledge swam first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:13.75.
Abby Pardridge and
Priscilla Min made their appearance one again in the 200 IM, Pardridge swimming first with a time of 2:13.12 and Min second with a 2:16.97.
The women's 400 freestyle relay earned second place with a time of 3:46.16, the A relay consisting of Rutledge, Coley, Bowen, and
Kirsten Peters. The women's 400 medley relay placed 1-2, the A relay timing 4:05.96 (Pardridge, Min, Rutledge, and Franke) while the B swam a 4:18.75 (Peters, Rogers, Musgrove, Coley).
The Thunder will host Millikin Friday, January 17th at 5:00 pm.Â
