The Wheaton football program announces 38 newcomers for the 2019 season

Wheaton, Ill. - Head coach Mike Swider and the Wheaton College football staff have announced the addition of 38 newcomers that have submitted their deposit to attend Wheaton College, with the intent to play for the Thunder football team beginning in the fall of 2019.

Swider says of the group, "The 2019 Wheaton Football program welcomes the addition of 34 freshman and 4 transfers. They will represent our team well and help continue our tradition of excellence over the next four years. As has been the case for a long time, these new athletes have been drawn to Wheaton because of its commitment to a conservative, Christian education as well as the opportunity to play football for a proven winner with other believers. January transfers Wyatt Lee (LB) from Lawrence University, and Brayden (DE) and Luke Anthony (QB) from Dayton University trained and practiced with us this past semester. Transfer Bert McJunkin (WR) of Texas A&M University will join us in August. These 38 recruits come to Wheaton from 13 different states. You can read where they are from as well as see their football highlights below."
