Naperville, Ill. - The Wheaton baseball team ended its CCIW Tournament run on Friday morning in a 9-0 loss against North Park in an elimination game of the tournament. Wheaton ends the season 24-16, tying the program's single-season record for victories at 24. Wheaton also recorded 24 wins in 2017 and 2010.
North Park scored nine runs, on 12 hits, with no errors and Wheaton tallied zero runs, on five hits, committing two errors.
Christian Bolhuis started the game on the mound for the Thunder, working 5-1/3 innings. He allowed six runs, including five earned runs, on eight hits, with two strikeouts and three walks.
Christian Gibbs faced two batters, allowing one run.
David Solfelt pitched two innings, allowing two runs, on four hits, with one strikeout.
Kevin Champlin pitched 2/3 of an inning, striking out one batter. Senior
Luke Kram pitched 2/3 of an inning to close out his collegiate career and fellow senior
Caleb Selk ended his collegiate career with 1/3 of an inning.

North Park gaine a 1-0 lead with one run in the top of the second inning. The Vikings added a run in the top of the fourth inning to give NPU a 2-0 lead. The Vikings broke the game open with five runs in the top of the sixth inning as North Park increased its lead to 7-0. North Park added two runs in the top of the eighth inning to account for the 9-0 final score.
