Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton women's tennis team earned a 7-2 victory against Coe College (9-11) on Saturday afternoon at home. Wheaton improves to 12-5 on the season with Saturday's victory.
Thunder senior Sara Maguson defeated Coe's Isabella Hoppenjans 6-0, 6-0 in their matchup at No. 2 singles.
Claire Browning was a 6-4, 6-1 victor at at No. 3 singles against Eliza Sundermann and
Claire Dibble picked up a 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles against Lakyn Boltz.
Nicole Freeman topped Ella White 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and
Emme Lindquist was a 6-0, 6-3 victor against Victoria Montoya at No. 6 singles.
Magnuson and Freeman teamed for an 8-6 victory against Boltz and Sundermann at No. 2 doubles.
Emma Westwick and
Bethany Hoogerheide topped White and Montoya 8-3 in their matchup at No. 3 doubles.
Wheaton returns to action on Monday when the Thunder hosts Judson University at 6:00 p.m.
