Aston Francis is named to the NABC All-America Team

Wheaton, Ill. – Aston Francis has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III All-America Team. A Second Team selection, this year's recognition marks the second-consecutive season that the coaches association named Francis to their Second Team All-American squad.

Yesterday he was honored as a First Team All-Region performer by the NABC. Francis and the Thunder will face UW-Oshkosh on Friday in the second of two NCAA Division III Semifinal games in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Francis, a two-time CCIW Most Outstanding Player, leads All NCAA Divisions with 33.9 points per game and owns the NCAA Division III record for points in a single season with 1,052 points. His 168 three-pointers this year is the second-highest single-season total in Division III history. Francis leads the Thunder with 7.9 rebounds per game and is second on the team with 3.1 assists per game. The senior is shooting 44.1% (333-of-755) from the field, including 38.2% (168-for-440) from three-point range. He has an 88.3% (218-of-247) effort at the free throw line.

Francis has scored 2,362 points in his three seasons at Wheaton, the second-highest career total in program history. The senior's career scoring average of 28.8 points per is a school record. He has made 768 career field goals, including a school record 383 three-pointers. Francis has 443 career free throws, with 447 career rebounds. He has distributed 285 assists with 127 steals. 

Francis is sixth in NCAA Division III history in scoring average (28.8 points per game). His 383 career three-pointers is the seventh-highest total in Division III history and his career three-pointers per game average of 4.67 ranks fourth in D3 history.
