Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton College football team (12-0) will host a Quarterfinal Round Game of the 2019 NCAA Division III Playoffs on Saturday, December 7. The Thunder will entertain St. John's University (Minn.) at McCully Stadium in Wheaton on Saturday in a noon kickoff. The winner of next Saturday's Wheaton-St. John's game will advance to face the winner of another Quarterfinal round game between Mary Hardin-Baylor and UW-Whitewater next Saturday in Belton, Texas.
Admission for Saturday's game is $8 for adults, $4 for students; and children under three are admitted for free. As a NCAA Championship event no free passes will be accepted. Only cash will be accepted for tickets being purchased at the game on Saturday. However, fans that wish to purchase tickets with a credit card can do so online

The Thunder earned the CCIW's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Playoffs. Wheaton is in its 11
th overall appearance in the Division III Playoffs and first since 2016. The Thunder has compiled a 16-10 all-time record in the postseason. Saturday's matchup with the Johnnies will be the fourth Quarterfinal appearance in program history and the first-ever Quarterfinal at McCully Stadium. Wheaton is 1-2 all-time in the Quarterfinal Round.
The Thunder advanced to next Saturday's Quarterfinal Round matchup with a
49-13 victory against Central College (Iowa) at McCully Stadium. St. John's
defeated Chapman 55-26 in their Second Round Round matchup in Orange, California.
Next Saturday's matchup will be the first meeting on the gridiron between Wheaton and St. John's.
