Kalamazoo, Mich. - A pair of Thunder men's tennis players took part in this weekend's ITA Central Regional Championships. Jack Wenzel and Nathan Fruh each competed in singles action with the duo combining for doubles action as well.

Nathan Fruh fell 6-0, 6-4 to ninth-seeded Vlad Rotnov of Denision in his first singles match of the day before dropping a 6-3, 6-2 match to Brandon Wall of Otterbein. Jack Wenzel dropped his first match of the weekend 6-4, 6-0 to Gavin Tay of Wittenberg but rallied to defeat Austin Burkhart of Greenville 6-3, 6-2. In his next match, Wenzel won the first set 7-5 before dropping the last two sets 6-2, 10-8 to Alvaro Leal of Augustana.

Fruh and Wenzel dropped their only doubles match of the weekend 8-5 to Tyler Raclin and Inshua Xu of UChicago, who advanced to the doubles semifinals to be played on Sunday.
