La Crosse, Wis. - The No. 18 Thunder women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 matchup at UW-La Crosse on Wednesday afternoon. The Thunder evened the match at 1-1 in the second half. UW-La Crosse registered the game-winner in the 108th minute.
UW-La Crosse's Margaret Harings scored the go-ahead goal for the Eagles with just 29-seconds left in the opening half. Harings' third goal of the year gave the hosts a 1-0 lead with a Maya Schmitt assist. Each team registered nine shots in the opening half, with each team taking three shots on goal.

Aeva Graber's first collegiate goal tied match at 1-1 in the 50th.
Anna Saunders assisted on Graeber's goal to even the match. The match remained scoreless for the rest of the first half as the Thunder attempted nine shots, with three shots on goal. The Eagle had three shots in the second half, with zero shots on goal.
The Thunder had four shots in the first overtime and the Eagles had one shot. Wheaton had two shots on goal in the period and the Eagles had one.
Madison Peebles attempted a shot 5:15 into the second overtime that was blocked by the Eagles' defense. Alex Cording of UW-La Crosse took the Eagles' only shot of the second overtime and converted the shot into a game-winning goal at the 107:13 mark. Cording's game-winner was assisted by Kaitlyn Villars to give the Eagles the victory.
The Thunder attempted 23 shots in the match, with 14 shots for the Eagles. The Thunder had eight shots on goal, to four for UW-La Crosse. Wheaton was awarded four corner kicks in the match, with one going to the Eagles.

Lauren Ketchum made three saves and allowed two goals in 107:13 of action in the Wheaton net. UW-La Crosse made seven saves, allowing one goal in 107:13.Â
Wheaton opens conference play Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. when Elmhurst College visits Joe Bean Stadium.
