Hanover Park, Illinois - The Thunder men's tennis team hosted Concordia University-Wisconsin on Saturday in a non-conference matchup. Wheaton topped the Falcons 8-1 as the Thunder extended its current win streak to five-consecutive matches. Today's match was moved to Centre Court Athletic Club in Hanover Park due to cold, windy and rainy conditions in the Chicagoland area.

The Thunder swept the three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. Wheaton's No. 2 doubles team of Anderson Park and Karl Wenzel picked up the host's first win with an 8-2 victory against the CUW team of Peter Kloda and Nathan Raskin. The Thunder No. 3 doubles team of Josh Cheng and Andrew Bristol earned an 8-2 victory against Gabe Binversie and Nathan Knapp. Wheaton's third victory in doubles competition was the No. 1 team of Dane Paulsen and Jeremiah Yi as they picked up an 8-3 win against Nolan Rademacher and Brad Guendel.

Alexander Winters' 6-0, 6-0 victory against Nathan Knapp at No. 6 singles was Wheaton's first win in singles competition. Josh Cheng recorded a 6-2, 6-2 victory against Nathan Raskin at No. 4 singles and Jeremiah Yi followed that with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles against Gabe Binversie. Dane Paulsen earned a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles against Concordia's Brad Guendel and Anderson Park recorded Wheaton's eighth victory of the night with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles against Nolan Rademacher.

Wheaton returns to action next Wednesday at home when Lake Forest College visits the Thunder for a non-conference match at 6:30 p.m.
