Orlando, Fla. - The Wheaton Thunder men's tennis team dropped a closely contested 5-4 decision against Division II opponent, Stonehill College on Wednesday. Wheaton's victories today came at the top three singles positions and No. 3 doubles.
Freshman
Anderson Park defeated Stonehill's Thomas Bellio 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 at No. 1 singles.
Jeremiah Yi was a 6-3, 6-3 victor at No. 2 singles against Trent Newman.
Karl Wenzel won a 6-3, 7-5 decision at No. 3 singles versus Russell White of the Skyhawks.
Alex Winters teamed with
Christopher Jones for an 8-6 victory against Tom Buckley and Joey Conrod at No. 3 doubles.
Wheaton concludes its four-match trip to Florida on Thursday night with a match against Coe College at 7:30 p.m.
