Janesville, Wisconsin - The Wheaton Thunder men's tennis team opened the 2018 season on Friday night against No. 38 UW-Whitewater (5-2) in the first day of competition in the "Warhawk Invitational". The Warhawks topped the Thunder 7-2.

Wheaton freshman
Anderson Park made a strong debut at No. 1 singles as he rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-5) victory against Zane Navratil of UW-Whitewater.
Josh Cheng (PICTURED RIGHT) earned a victory for the Thunder at No. 4 singles with a 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (13-11) victory against the Warhawks' Matt Zurowski.
Wheaton faces Grinnell College at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and the Thunder closes out its participation in the tournament at noon tomorrow with a matchup against Ohio Wesleyan University.
