Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton Thunder football team will host a Veterans Appreciation Day on Saturday afternoon at McCully Stadium as part of Veterans Day Weekend. All active military personnel and military veterans will receive free admission to Saturday's game against the Elmhurst College Bluejays, which is scheduled for a 1 pm kickoff. Additionally, all veterans in attendance will be recognized during Saturday's game.
As part of the Veterans Appreciation Day, a color guard will be presented prior to the game by the Rolling Thunder Battalion of the Wheaton ROTC program and the Thunder will wear a special edition helmet decal commemorating the event.
