Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton volleyball team hosted ninth-ranked University of Chicago (19-2) on Tuesday evening in King Arena. The Maroons defeated the Thunder 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-17). Wheaton, now 10-8 on the season, travels to Aurora University tomorrow night for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Spartans.

Colleen Smith led the Thunder with six kills, Ellie Brown added five kills and Madeline Moore tallied four kills. Alecia Funk led the Thunder with 10 kills and she added two service aces. Senior Jess Bosse tallied 13 digs and Brown registered four total blocks.

Sarah Muisenga led the Maroons with 12 kills and Emma Griffith had a match-high 29 assists. Temilade Adekoya tallied 11 digs.
