Holland, Mich. – The Wheaton Thunder women's soccer team concluded its regular season schedule on Saturday with a 2-1 victory at No. 24 Hope College (15-2-1). Thunder freshman
Isabelle Oliver scored twice, including the game-winner in the final three minutes of regulation.
Wheaton (11-4-3) and Hope played a scoreless first half today in Michigan. The Thunder held a 6-5 advantage in shots in the opening half.
Oliver broke the scoreless tie at 53:38 when took a through ball from
Carney Blake put the ball past Hope goalkeeper Jordanne Ellingboe for a 1-0 Wheaton lead. The Flying Dutch tied the match at 1-1 at 76:10 thanks to a Maria Egloff goal that was assisted by Allie Wittenbach.
Oliver collected a loose ball as Hope failed to clear the ball and blasted a shot from about 20 yards out that landed into the opposite corner of the goal. Oliver's game-winning goal at 87:53 secured the win for the guests.

Kathryn McGregor made four saves and allowed one goal in 90 minutes of work. Ellingboe, the Hope goalkeeper, made two saves with two goals allowed.
Wheaton out-shot the Flying Dutch 13-9. Including a 6-3 edge in shots on goal. Wheaton attempted four corner kicks and Hope had three corner kicks.
Top-seeded Wheaton (11-4-3) hosts fourth-seeded Elmhurst Wednesday night (November 1) at 7:00 p.m. in a CCIW Tournament Semifinal match at Joe Bean Stadium. No. 2 seed Illinois Wesleyan hosts third seed Carroll in Wednesday's other semifinal. The CCIW Tournament Championship Match will be held at the highest remaining seed on November 4. Ticket prices for all matches of the CCIW Women's Soccer Tournament are $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors and youth/students. Children under five-years-old will be admitted for free. Additionally, students with valid a CCIW school ID will be admitted free of charge. As a CCIW Championship event, no CCIW parent passes, faculty/staff ID's, or Thunder season passes will be honored.
