Curtis McWilliams tabbed as the CCIW's Offensive Player of the week

Wheaton, Ill. - Senior quarterback Curtis McWilliams was named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week in football by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. The weekly honor is the first of McWilliams' career. He is Wheaton's third player to earn the weekly recognition from the CCIW this season and second to earn offensive honors.

McWilliams was 18-of-29 passing with 287 yards through the air in Wheaton's 42-20 win against fourth-ranked North Central. He passed for three touchdowns and ran for another in the game that was suspended due to lightning on Saturday night at the end of the first half with North Central leading 13-7. When play resumed on Monday, McWilliams passed for two touchdowns in the third quarter as the Thunder out-scored the Cardinals 21-0. He also had an 18-yard touchdown pass and ran for another score in the fourth quarter.
 
Wheaton returns to action Saturday, when the Thunder travels to North Park for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff against the Vikings in Chicago.
