Elmhurst, Ill. – The Thunder women's soccer team scored twice in the final nine minutes of regulation tonight at Elmhurst College as the Thunder earned a 2-0 victory against the Bluejays. Wheaton improves to 6-4-3 and 3-0-1 in CCIW play.

Freshman
Isabelle Oliver (PICTURED LEFT) broke a scoreless tie at the 84:42 mark of the match when she collected
Chelsea Gnan's pass that deflected off an Elmhurst defender and found Oliver who dribbled towards the goal and put the ball past the keeper and into the net at the opposite post.
Fellow freshman
Izzy McNally collided with an Elmhurst defender about five yards off the 18-yard box, quickly collected herself and moved toward the goal. McNally blasted a shot toward the opposite post that went into the net on a terrific play for the freshman as Wheaton's lead expanded to 2-0 at the 84:42 mark of the match.
Wheaton dominated play throughout the match as the Thunder owned a 20-0 advantage in shots, including a 16-0 edge in shots on goal. Wheaton attempted 10 corner kicks in the match and Bluejays had two attempts.
Thunder goalkeeper
Kathryn McGregor played all 90 minutes in net for the Thunder. Elmhurst goalkeeper Sophia Tuliglowski allowed two goals and made 13 saves in 90 minutes of work.
Wheaton hosts
No. 20 Illinois Wesleyan (11-3, 3-0 CCIW) Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in a key CCIW match between the two CCIW rivals.
