Bloomington, Ill. - The Wheaton men's tennis team earned its sixth win out of its last seven matches with a 9-0 victory at Illinois Wesleyan (0-14, 0-6 CCIW) on Friday. Wheaton improves to 11-7 overall and 4-1 in the CCIW. The Thunder will conclude the regular season on Saturday afternoon at Millikin University.

Wheaton's Justin Ancona earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory at number-one singles and Dane Paulsen picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory at number-two singles. Matt Steiner was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at number-three singles and Lincoln Metz picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory at number-four singles. Andrew Torok was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at number-five singles and freshman Chris Jones was a 6-0, 6-0 victor at number-six singles.

Ancona and Steiner teamed for a 9-7 victory at number-one doubles. Paulsen and Metz paired for an 8-3 win at number-two doubles and Brent Westergren paired with Karl Wenzel for an 8-2 win at number-three doubles.
