Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder men's tennis team earned a key conference win on Saturday with a 6-3 victory at home against Augustana (11-10, 2-2 CCIW). Wheaton is now 10-7 on the year and has won five of its last six matchups. The Thunder now have a 3-1 record in conference play

Dane Paulsen won a 6-4, 6-4 matchup at number-one singles and Matt Steiner was a 6-3, 6-2 victor at number-two singles. Lincoln Metz won a 1-6, 6-2, 6-1 decision at number-three singles and Andrew Torok was a 6-1, 6-3 victor at number-six singles.

Justin Ancona and Steiner earned an 8-5 victor at number-one doubles. Metz and Paulsen picked up a 9-7 victory at number-two doubles.

Wheaton will return to action on April 29 at Illinois Wesleyan for a 4:00 p.m. matchup with the Titans.
