Orlando, Fla. - The Thunder men's tennis team concluded its five-match trip to Florida on Thursday with a 6-3 loss to Coe College. The Kohawks (14-2) are ranked 36th in the most recent ITA Division III rankings. Wheaton (5-6) will return to action on April 2 at UW-Oshkosh.
Justin Ancona earned a big win at number-one singles against Brady Anderson, the 15th-ranked player in Division III. Anderson won the first set 6-4, but Ancona rallied with a 6-1 win in the second set and a 6-1 victory in the third and final set to earn the victory.
Lincoln Metz was a 6-2, 6-4 winner at number-four singles. Ancona and Steiner teamed to earn an 8-5 victory at number-one doubles against Riley Galbraith and Ryan Hickman.
