Janesville, Wis. - The Wheaton men's tennis team (1-2) played the first of three matches it has scheduled this weekend at the UW-Whitewater "Warhawk Invitational" on Friday afternoon when the Thunder faced off against the host Warhawks. UW-Whitewater (6-3), ranked 26th in the current ITA Division III rankings, defeated the Thunder 8-1 in the matchup.
Freshman
Dane Paulsen picked up Wheaton's lone win on Friday with a 6-4, 7-5 victory against UW-Whitewater's Rithwik Rajshekhar Raman. Paulsen is now 6-1 in singles matches this year and 3-0 in the spring season for the Thunder.
Wheaton will wrap up its participation in the Warhawk Invitational on Saturday with matches against Grinnell College and Ohio Wesleyan University.
