Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton women's soccer team recovered from allowing a first-half goal on Saturday afternoon to defeat Christopher Newport University 2-1 in overtime at Joe Bean Stadium. Wheaton is now 5-2 on the year and will travel to Aurora University of a 2:00 p.m. matchup with the Spartans. Christopher Newport is now 5-1-1 on the season.
Tonight's victory was the 450th career win for veteran head coach
Pete Felske. He is now 450-105-32 in 28 seasons at Wheaton and is just the third Division III women's soccer coach in history to reach 450 career wins. Felske is just the seventh NCAA women's soccer coach (all divisions) to reach 450 victories in a career.
The Christopher Newport offense out-shot Wheaton 7-6 in the first half and the Captains capitalized late in the opening half with a goal by MiAsia Pinckney in the 44
th minute. Pinckney's goal allowed the Captains to own a 1-0 lead at halftime. The Captains out-shot Wheaton 7-6 in the opening half.

th minute to tie game at 1-1. The score remained 1-1 at the conclusion of the first half as the contest went into overtime. Each team took nine shots in the second half.

th minute it was again a Rauh goal for the Thunder. Her second goal of the night came in front of the net and was assisted by
Anna Burnidge for the game-winner. Wheaton owned a 2-0 advantage in shots in the overtime.

Abbey Fuster made eight saves and allowed just the first-half goal in a strong effort in the Thunder net. CNU netminder Carly Maglio made 10 saves and allowed two goals into the Captains' net. Wheaton out-shot CNU 17-16 in the match and the Thunder owned an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.
