Wheaton, Ill. - Two members of the Wheaton football team have been named as preseason All-Americans by D3football.com. Senior linebacker Adam Dansdill was recognized as a First Team selection at linebacker and senior tackle Matt Snebold was a second team honoree as an offensive lineman.

Dansdill, the 2014 CCIW Defensive Player of the Year, was named a D3football.com All-American last fall. He led the Thunder with 133 total tackles in 2014, including 65 solo stops. Dansdill recorded a team-best 11 passes broken up and also tallied seven tackles for lost yardage (-15 yards) in his junior season.  Dansdill led the CCIW in total tackles in 2014 with 71 in conference play.

Snebold was a Second Team All-North Region selection by D3football.com on 2014. A First Team All-CCIW honoree at tackle last fall, Snebold was an integral part of a Wheaton offensive line that allowed only 10 sacks in 2014 for a Thunder offense that averaged 179.6 yards per game and 239.1 passing yards per contest.

Wheaton, ranked seventh in the 2015 D3football.com Top-25 preseason poll, will open the season at Coe College on September 5 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Thunder will open its home slate the following week when Adrian College visits McCully Stadium on September 12.
