Janesville, Wis. - The Wheaton men's tennis team opened up its participation in UW-Whitewater's "Warhawk Invitational" on Friday by facing the hosts from UW-Whitewater (6-3). The #25-ranked Warhawks defeated the Thunder 8-1. Sophomore Matt Steiner picked up Wheaton's lone win on the day with a 7-6 (11-9), 6-4 win at number-three singles against the Warhawks' Matt Zurowski.

Wheaton (1-3) will conclude its participation in the tournament on Saturday. The Thunder will face Grinnell College at 8:00 a.m. and Ohio Wesleyan University at 12:30 p.m.
