Chicago, Ill. - The Wheaton men's tennis team traveled to University of Chicago for a pair of matches on Saturday. Wheaton opened on Saturday with a 6-3 loss to Oberlin College. The Thunder dropped a 9-0 decision to number-17 ranked Chicago in the nightcap.

Wheaton senior Josh Ward earned a 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 win at number-one singles against Oberlin's Ian Paik. Justin Ancona was 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 victor against Michael Drougas of Oberin at number-two singles. Wheaton's third win against Oberlin was a 6-1, 6-4 victory by Matt Steiner at number-three singles against Callan Louis.

Wheaton is now 1-2 on the year. The Thunder will participate in the Warhawk Invite, hosted by UW-Whitewater. The Thunder will face UW-Whitewater on Friday and take on Grinnell College and Ohio Wesleyan University in matches on Saturday.
