Men's soccer plays to scoreless tie at UW-Oshkosh

Oshkosh, Wis. - The Thunder men's soccer team played to a scoreless tie on Wednesday night in a nonconference game at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The draw pushes Wheaton's season record to 6-3-2 while the Titans are now 9-1-2. Wheaton will return home on Friday night to host Millikin at 7 PM at Joe Bean Stadium.

Matt Paprocki faced 17 shots from the Titans and made four saves in the shutout effort. UW-Oshkosh's Sam Gabrilska made four saves and faced 12 shots from the Thunder. Oshkosh attempted nine corner kicks while Wheaton had two corner kick attempts.

Wheaton held the shots advantage in the first half, owning a 6-4 edge in shots and getting the better of the play. Oshkosh turned the field in the second half, attempting 10 shots to just three by the Thunder. Both teams attempted a pair of shots in the first overtime and then bunkered down to attempt just one shot each in the second overtime period.

The draw puts an end to an eight-game winning streak by the Titans.
