Chicago, Ill. - The Wheaton men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 non-conference contest at University of Chicago on Thursday afternoon. Chicago is now 9-8 on the year and is ranked 17th in the most recent ITA Division III Coaches Poll.
The loss snapped Wheaton's five-match winning streak, handing the Thunder an overall record of 15-3 on the year. Wheaton will return to action on April 22 when the Thunder hosts Elmhurst College match at 4:00 p.m.

Josh Ward picked up Wheaton's lone win of the afternoon against the Maroons. Ward earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Chicago's Brian Sun.
