Wheaton, Ill.- After wrapping up their respective regular seasons on Saturday night, the Wheaton men's and women's basketball program begin preparations this week for the upcoming CCIW Tournaments. Up for grabs in this weekend's tournaments is the CCIW's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament. Both the men's and women's teams will play in a neutral site semifinal game on Friday night at 5 PM.

The Thunder men's basketball will travel to Bloomington, Illinois and enter the tournament as the #2 seed. Wheaton (17-8, 10-4 CCIW) will face #3-seeded Augustana (19-6, 9-5 CCIW) in a 5 PM semifinal matchup at the Shirk Center. In Friday night's other semi-final, #1-seeded Illinois Wesleyan (22-3, 12-2 CCIW) will face #4-Carthage (16-9, 9-5 CCIW) at 7 PM. Friday night's winners will meet in Saturday night's CCIW Tournament Championship game at 7 PM. Wheaton's women's basketball team will travel to Kenosha, Wisconsin and open the tournament as the #3 seed. The Thunder (19-6, 9-5 CCIW) will open with a rematch with #2-seeded Illinois Wesleyan (17-7, 11-2 CCIW) at 5 PM at Tarble Arena. Top-seeded Carthage (22-3, 13-1 CCIW) will face #4-seeded Elmhurst (14-11, 6-8 CCIW) in Friday night's 7 PM semifinal. Friday night's semifinal winners will face off at 7 PM on Saturday night in the CCIW Tournament Championship.
