The Thunder football team will host John Carroll on Saturday in the NCAA Playoffs Second Round

 Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton College football team will host John Carroll University on Saturday November 29 at noon in the Second Round of the 2014 NCAA Division III Football Playoffs. Saturday's matchup will be the first-ever meeting between Wheaton and John Carroll on the gridiron.
 
Ticket prices for Saturday's game are $8 for adults and $4 for students. Children under the age of three are admitted for free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at this link (credit card only) up unitl kickoff. Tickets will also be available at the gate (cash only).
 
Wheaton (11-0) advanced to the Second Round with a 43-14 victory at McCully Stadium on Saturday against Benedictine. The 11 wins this season for the Thunder marks only the third time the program has won 11 games in a campaign; joining a 12-1 season in 2003 and an 11-3 record in 2008. Following Saturday's win, Wheaton is now 8-0 all-time in the first round of the tournament and the program owns a 12-7 all-time record in the postseason.
 
John Carroll, an at-large participant in the postseason, defeated Centre 63-28 in a first round matchup on Saturday in University Heights, Ohio. John Carroll is in the midst of the program's fifth postseason appearance in school history. Saturday's game at Wheaton will mark the Blue Streaks' third appearance in the second round.
