Lake Forest, Ill. - The Wheaton volleyball team earned a 3-0 winner at Lake Forest College on Tuesday night. The Thunder improves to 2-3 on the year. Wheaton remains on the road with a trip the Austin College Classic at Austin College in Sherman, Texas this Friday and Saturday.

The Thunder opened tonight's win at Lake Forest with a 26-24 win in the first set. The guests followed with a 25-20 win in set two. The Thunder closed out the win with a 25-19 victory in the decisive third set.

Freshman Shelby Knowles continued her strong play with 11 kills, posting a .381 attack percentage. Maddie McGinnis tallied seven kills, while Emily Buyse and Andy DeMoss each recorded six kills.

Thunder freshman Ashley Torok distributed 17 assists and Lauren Wilhite had 13 assists. Kelli Manning led the Thunder with eight dig. Buyse recorded four total blocks and McGinnis had three total blocks. Knowles, Torok and Samantha Hedlund each had two service aces in the match.
