GAME STATS 2 TOURNAMENT RESULTS/SCHEDULE

Wheaton, Ill. – The Thunder volleyball team opened action in the 2013 Wheaton Invitational on Friday afternoon with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-16) victory against Rockford College. Wheaton topped UW-Platteville, 3-0 (26-24, 25-14, 25-18) in the second match of the night for the Thunder.
Wheaton is now 12-5 on the year. The Thunder will return to action on Saturday in King Arena for the final day of the Wheaton Invitational. Wheaton hosts Kalamazoo College on Saturday morning at 10:30 AM and the Thunder will entertain the College of Mount St. Joseph at 2:00 PM.
Jess Foggy and
Emily Buyse each smacked a team-high nine kills for Wheaton in the win versus Rockford this afternoon.
Maddie McGinnis collected eight kills,
Shelby Knowles had seven and
Megan McKinley had six. Sophomore
Lauren Wilhite distributed 28 assists and Samantha Hedlund# had 16. McGinnis led the Thunder with 11 digs and Knowles added eight.
McGinnis led the Thunder with 16 kills in the 3-0 victory against UW-Platteville. Knowles contributed 13 kills, with eight digs.
Andy DeMoss recorded six kills and Wilhite had a team-high 39 assists.
Kelli Manning led Wheaton with 23 digs and
Emily Buyse had nine total blocks.
