Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton College men's tennis team lost an 8-1 decision to Coe College on Friday in the regular season finale for the Thunder. Wheaton is now 12-6 on the year, while Coe is 28-0.
Wheaton will compete in the 2013 CCIW Men's Tennis Championship next Friday and Saturday in Bloomington, Illinois.
Ryan Kreis (PICTURED ABOVE) earned Wheaton's lone win in the match in battle of regionally ranked foes at number-one singles. Kreis rallied to earn a 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 win against Coe's Noah Sprinkel. Sprinkel is ranked eighth in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Region singles rankings and Kreis is ranked ninth.
