Wheaton, Ill. - In a matchup of regionally-ranked foes, the Wheaton College men's tennis team defeated Elmhurst College 6-3 on Thursday.
The Thunder (10-5 overall, 2-0 CCIW) came into the day with a No. 14 ranking in the ITA's Central Region. The Bluejays (10-5 overall, 2-1 CCIW) were ranked No. 13 in the region.
The hosts gained the lead in the doubles portion, as the tandems of

Miles Greenwald and
Joel Parrish/
David Buursma earned a pair of points. In singles play, the Thunder got wins in position numbers three through six from
Jordan Williams, Parrish, Buursma and Greenwald.
Wheaton continues its conference schedule at Carthage College with a 10 AM match on Saturday.
