Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton quarterback Jordan Roberts has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week for football. Roberts helped lead the Thunder to a 44-10 victory against Carthage on Saturday at home. The Thunder quarterback is a senior academically at Wheaton and junior in terms of athletics eligibility.

Roberts completed 24 of his 27passing attempts for 258 yards and five touchdowns in Saturday's victory against the Red Men. In the victory, he broke a school record that had stood since 1983 with 17 consecutive completions during a period in the second, third and fourth quarters. Roberts threw a pair of four-yard touchdown passes in the second quarter and tossed one-yard, eight yard and 29-yard yard touchdown receptions in the second half. His four-yard touchdown pass to sophomore Mark Hiben with 3:34 left in the third quarter snapped a 10-10 tie and started a run of 34 unanswered points for the hosts.

Roberts has completed 92 of his 120 passing attempts (76.7%) this season for 1,065 yards. He has thrown 16 touchdown passes, with just one interception and has a passing efficiency rating of 193.55. Roberts leads the CCIW in completion percentage, passing efficiency and touchdown passes. He is currently ranked third in Division III in passing efficiency.
