Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton College senior Pat Dansdill has been named the CCIW Defensive Player of the Week for football, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Dansdill, a linebacker, led the Wheaton defense in total tackles in Saturday's 49-7 victory at Augustana, with a career-high 10 solo tackles. HIs 10 total tackles in the game also tied a career-high. Two of his tackles were for lost yardage of five yards and he forced two fumbles in the victory, recovering one. Dansdill and the Thunder defense held Augustana to just 265 yards of offense, including only 101 passing yards.

Dansdill, a team captain this season, leads the Thunder with 33 total tackles this season and also has a team-high 18 solo stops. He is currently ranked fifth in the CCIW in total tackles and is the league leader in forced fumbles.

In four seasons with the Thunder, Dansdill has appeared in 41 games. He has registered 109 total tackles in his career, with 7-1/2 tackles for lost yardage of 22 yards.
