Kenosha, Wis. - The Wheaton volleyball team was handed its second consecutive five-set loss, when the Thunder dropped a 3-2 decision at seventh-ranked Carthage College on Tuesday night. The Lady Reds took the first set 25-19 and Wheaton responded with a 33-31 victory in the second set. Carthage won the third set 25-17 and Wheaton won the fourth set 25-20 to send the match to a decisive fifth set. Carthage closed out the win with a 15-11 win in the fifth set.
Wheaton is now 8-5 on the season with a 1-1 record in conference play. Carthage is 12-2 overall and 2-0 in CCIW action. The Thunder will host the
Wheaton invitational on Friday and Saturday in King Arena.

Megan McKinley continued her strong play with a team-high 18 kills.
Emily Buyse recorded 12 kills and two total blocks.
