Grinnell, Iowa - The Wheaton College men's tennis team defeated Lawrence University 8-1 and lost to Grinnell College 6-3 on Saturday. The Thunder ran its record to 5-7 on the year.

Wheaton topped Lawrence in all three doubles and five of the six singles matches. Stephan Rauh, Joel Parrish, David Buursma, Miles Greenwald and Sam Cannon all picked up victories in both singles and doubles.

Grinnell came away the winner in match two as the Thunder earned wins at No. 2 singles (Rauh), No. 4 singles (Buursma) and No. 2 doubles (Taylor Johnson and Rauh).

The Thunder will travel to conference opponent Elmhurst College at 4 PM on Tuesday.
